How many different books do you supply?
Thousands. Once a book is in print we can get it. Most books on the curriculum are published in Ireland. A small percentage of books are published in the UK. We have over 25 years experience in sourcing and providing books from the UK.
Do you accept debit cards and/or credit cards?
How soon can I expect delivery?
On average 3 working days. Sometimes all the books on your order will not be available at the same time due to re-printing or if they haven’t been published yet; teachers might list a book in anticipation of publication.
In this case we would make a judgement on when the book will be available. Depending on the time frame, it may be better to hold the delivery. If it is longer than two weeks we will send you what we have in stock.
For more details visit our Delivery Information section.
When I place my order on the website, will somebody contact me to let me know when the books are due to arrive or do I just wait?
Delivery will be within approximately 5 working days, unless you are contacted directly.
Do you supply outside Ireland?
What if I can’t figure out what books I need to buy?
Book lists can have 12-13 subjects with a number of complicated text books listed.
If you are unsure what subjects are applicable, purchase the main core subject books, i.e. English, Irish and Maths. Contact your school secretary for further information or ring / email us with your query.
What do I need to have to hand before I sit down in front of my computer?
Remember to check if the subjects to be studied are at higher or ordinary level.
If a student changes from the higher level to the ordinary level in the middle of the year, do you part exchange the books?
All reasonable efforts will be made to satisfy customers.
Should parents buy everything on the book list?
No, we can offer you advice over the phone. But, it is seldom necessary to buy all the books listed.
It is very important that you discuss your child’s subjects with them before you sit down to purchase. If in doubt, leave it out.
Do you experience a supply shortage in August?
It can happen. The publisher will have to make a call on the first print run of a book and this can be very conservative. Re-prints can delay availability. However by carrying very large stocks and constant liaison with publishers we reduce these problems as much as possible.
We recommend buying books as early as possible. Reprint schedules and other relevant information will be made available on line.
How are the books listed?
Alphabetically and by year / class and subject. You can also use our search tool if you're having trouble finding the book you're looking for.
What else can I purchase on the site?
Exam papers, revision aids, school stationery, writing materials, music manuscript, science copybooks, geometry sets, art materials right through to Leaving Cert Art level. The requirement will usually be listed on the book list.
